   Minus a star for how thin the plastic is. Bought two sets. Three 50# bags of fiber cement into the electric mixer yielded slightly more than what was required for the four forms. I made 80 pieces. Did one batch per day. Clean and oil the forms, mix concrete, fill forms and clean up equipment done in the morning. After experimenting removing the forms I found it easiest to remove at about 12 hours (evening). I treated the forms very carefully. None of the broke but they would have been easier to handle if the plastic was heavier. I have a diesel tractor and as a result, access to diesel fuel. In the end I used a mix of vegetable oil and diesel as a release agent in the forms. I did learned the hard way not to lift the form off from just one end. I disturbs the finish in the grooves on the top of the block. I had to get the form loose and pull it up evenly from both ends. I also added color to the concrete just to make the job more challenging. I did samples with just 1 tablespoon of color per 50# bag. Wife didn’t like the gray. Son didn’t like the brown. So I used half of each. Both were happy with the result. End result was 1.5 tablespoons of each of brawn and gray color went into the mixer with the three 50# bags of concrete mix. I know the molds needed to be tapered to get the blocks out but we felt the gap between the ends when butted together was to large. On the bottom of the block at each end we ran a diamond blade on the angle grinder through the block about a 1/4″ in from the end. The end gaps are now much closer to the gaps in the body of the block.

   they do the job, my only ‘complaint’ and not really a complaint, just a personal observation, is the plastic is a bit on the thin side. the curved molds i bought last year are much thicker.also buyers be aware,these molds take more than a 60lb bag of cement mix, but less than an 80lb bag so expect either extra cement or not enough.
